This animation (work in progress) revisits a real childhood accident that left deep scars on my hands — both physically and emotionally. What began as an innocent day of kite flying with my mom turned into a moment of trauma when the kite string wrapped around my hands, cutting into my skin and leaving lasting marks. But over time, those scars have transformed in meaning. In the final scene, I connect my own scar to the one my mom carries from giving birth to me, a quiet yet powerful reminder that every scar tells a story. Rather than symbols of pain, they’ve become proof of survival, love, and life. This piece is a reflection on how every scar is a miracle on skin.
